All CAODC members must maintain a Certificate of Recognition (COR) through Enform, or be actively working towards achieving one.

What is a Certificate of Recognition (COR)?

COR is an initiative that recognizes and rewards employers who go beyond the legal requirements of the Workers Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, by taking a best practices approach to implementing health, safety, and return-to-work (RTW) programs. The program promotes the concept of managing health and safety equally with other components necessary for a successful business, such as profitability and productivity.

Enform is the Certifying Partner for COR in Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan; oil and gas companies that have achieved health and safety programs that meet Enform’s approved standards can apply for COR. More information on the COR program can be found at www.enform.ca

CAODC Approved Auditors List

The CAODC Approved Auditors List was collaboratively developed by the CAODC Service Rig Executive Committee (SREC) and Enform. By implementing these criteria, our service rig members can be assured the auditors being utilized possess the experience and familiarity with service rig functions and operations.

To become a CAODC Approved Auditor the following steps and requirements must be met:

1. Applicants must be an Enform Certified External Auditor in good standing with Enform.
   
   
2. A package containing the following shall be submitted, via email, to the Manager, Safety and Training Services:
   • A cover letter addressed to the SREC detailing professional background and experience, including any and all service rig experience. This letter must also include a request for support to the SREC to make the addition to the Approved Auditors List;
   • A current resume
3. Applicants are required to participate in an interview conducted by one of CAODC's SREC members.

All submissions are reviewed and approved by the SREC. Successful applicants will be notified by the Manager, Safety & Training Services, and their information will be added to the Approved Auditors List.
