Canadian oil drillers say Nebraska ruling breaks down last excuse for Keystone

Friday, 09 Jan 2015

CALGARY, AB: The Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAODC) is hailing the court ruling in Nebraska as the last major, non-political hurtle standing in the way of the Keystone XL Pipeline.

“The Nebraska ruling clears the way for Keystone XL. The facts are clear and the only rational choice points towards approval at this point,” said CAODC President, Mark Scholz. “Keystone XL is good for jobs, good for the economy and good for the people of Canada and the United States. We strongly encourage President Barrack Obama to listen to reason over rhetoric and approve this pipeline.”

Scholz continued, “With depressed oil prices, better market access will ensure that Canada is well positioned to take advantage of opportunities when prices rebound.”

The CAODC represents drilling and service rig companies in Canada, many of which operate in the United States as well.
