WHAT IS CAODC?
The Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors is a voice for Canada's drilling and service rig contractors and one of Canada's oldest upstream petroleum industry associations.
For 60 years, CAODC has been a place where member companies set aside competitive differences to cooperate on issues that encourage a safer, stronger and more efficient industry.
CAODC has 4 membership categories:
CAODC Drilling Rig Division:
- includes 45 drilling companies operating a fleet of 804 land-based rigs accounting for nearly 100% of the fleet currently operating in Canada, across the 4 western provinces.
CAODC Atlantic Division:
- includes 3 offshore companies operating a fleet of 5 offshore rigs.
CAODC's Service Rig Division:
- includes 72 service rig companies operating 1079 units across western Canada.
- CAODC's Service Rig Division accounts for some 98% of Canada's service rig fleet.
CAODC's Associate Division:
- CAODC's 161 associate members represent a cross section of the business community. These members, while neither owning nor operating rig equipment, have a keen interest in the industry and include oil companies, Canadian and US brokerage houses, investment analysts and oilfield service companies.
